Questions about Kegs
How many beers do I get in a keg?
Each keg delivered holds about 50 litres, which equates to 180 pots. That’s a lot of beer!
How long do I get to keep the keg?
If you have a kegerator we can deliver beer anytime minimum delivery charges apply, You can keep the keg until it’s finished and we will replace it with a new one when you’re ready. Kegs On Legs Takes no responsibilty for your own kegerator and will give advice at hirers risk.
With weekend parties and deliveries using our hire equipment we usually deliver on Fridays and Saturdays depending on your area and party start times, Pickup will then be either Monday or Tuesday.
Do I require a table?
Kegs on Legs can provide trestle tables with a cover if required subject to availability, otherwise a table will need to be provided in order to put the keg system on.
What do I get when I order my keg?
All customers receive with their keg:
* The Miracle Box to keep the beer cold.
* All the equipment to tap and pour the beer.
* Enough gas to pump the keg.
* 2 bags of ice and 50 Red American Frat Cups.
Do I need experience to pour the beer?
Absolutely not, but if you feel nervous upon delivery our helpful staff will be more than happy to show you how to pour to perfection!
Will I lose half the beer through wastage?
No. Unlike traditional home keg setups, the keg esky uses a special tap head that minimises wastage and is super-easy to use. So if you’ve had a bad experience with kegs in the past don’t be put off … this is a whole new way of enjoying tap beer at home!
Do you charge a bond?
No, however a credit card payment authorisation form must be signed upon delivery as security. Nothing will be charged to your credit card unless the equipment is lost or damaged.
Should I get more than one keg?
Only you know what sort of drinkers you will be having at your party. If your friends are big drinkers a second keg might not go astray. Keep in mind that we refund all unused kegs, minus a 10% handling fee. How much does it cost to deliver?
Delivery and pickup charges are shown on our website see the delivery page for more details. Generally we can deliver to anywhere within Greater Melbourne, and even further subject to our schedule. Please call if you are unsure where you lie within our delivery zone.
Can I pick up the gear myself?
Yes, however we have to deliver the alcohol due to liquor licencing regulations and laws.
Can I hire the equipment without the keg?
Yes. See the beer page for prices.
Do I need to add my own alcohol?
No the alcohol is already premixed with the cocktail syrup, unless you have purchased non-alcoholic mix
How long does my daiquiri machine take to freeze?
Approximately One to two hours depending on its environment ie. Whether the machine is located inside or outside and the temperature.
Does my machine need power?
Yes it requires a standard power outlet, which is generally 10 amps. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE POWERBOARDS. If extension leads are required attach the machine outlet directly into the extension cord.
Does the machine come with a stand?
No, you must provide a sturdy table, or bench for the machine to sit on. We also have table for hire, so please check out online store for reasonable priced tables.

How many drinks do I get?
Using a 150ml martini glass (which we can supply) you will get 7 drinks per litre. Each bowl on the machine has a capacity of 10L of mix which makes approximately 70 drinks in total.
What do I do if I run out of the mix included in my package?
We provide additional 1 x 12L bottles of the same flavours that you ordered should you require topping up your machine. If these bottles are unopened there will be no charge.
How long will my machine take to re freeze once I top it up?
Depending, on how much mix is left in the bowl will affect the freezing times. If the mix falls below 4 litres it will take approximately 30 minutes to re freeze to the right consistency.
How much alcohol is in the Daiquiri Mix?
Our daiquiris contain an alcohol volume of 4% , however we do also have non-alcoholic mixes.
Can I add more alcohol?
You CANNOT any more alcohol to the daiquiri machine as it may hinder its ability to freeze. However you CAN add it to your glass and stir with straw.
